Miami County Sheriff's Sales
Sheriff’s sales, Foreclosure and Tax Delinquent, will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M., in the lobby of the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, located at 201 W. Main Street, Troy, Ohio.
Sale notices are published weekly, on Friday, in either the Troy Daily News or Piqua Daily Call. The Sheriff’s Office does not fax or mail information regarding sales of properties. Copies of sale list are available through the records section, and be obtained Mon-Fri from 8:00 am- 4:00 pm.
The Sheriff’s Office does not have information regarding liens or taxes on properties listed for auction. Properties listed for auction are NOT open for inspection or tours.
In accordance with new House Bill 138, the successful bidder must be prepared to put down, in addition to a deposit of 10% of the appraised value of property, the amount of .5% of the appraised value for transfer, conveyance, and recording fees, at the conclusion of the auction. Any amount over this cost will be refunded to the purchaser. This will take effect on all sale orders filed on or after September 11, 2008, and will actually begin November 1, 2008.
All tax sales will take place on the same day and time as foreclosure sales, and the successful bidder must be prepared to pay 100% of purchaser price, in addition to 1% of the purchase price for transfer, conveyance, and recording fees, at the conclusion of sale. |
