Obama and General McCrystal

I have to first complement Obama on his handling of General McCrystal.  The General is very a top notch warrior and has served his country well and has risen to the rank honorably.  Obama was right to summon him to the White House and confront the issue face to face.  It was pretty obvious that the general was going to be removed, so that was no surprise.

I would have done one thing a bit different.  I would have done it quietly and without such a public splash.  That's my thought on that part.  But, being it as it may, Obama's remarks afterward were appropriately worded and posed no apparent hostility toward General McCrystal.

General McCrystal was an unfortunate fall to a stupid idiot who works for an ill reputed magazine that isn't worth the match it would take to burn it.  The writer of the article knew what he was after and to that, he deserves the utmost discredit of his "profession."  I use the term very liberally there.

General Petrayes should do well.  I hope now that the administration sees some very important issues and decides to take the war to the next level of victory and out.  Quit screwing around and get the job done.
